About

Our library was founded on April 15, 2012 by Auburn University graduate Sara Teel. The library is located in the Loachapoka Community Center and provides public access to reading materials, technology, and literacy programs. We are changing lives by improving the well-being of children and adults through literacy because we believe that reading is the key to living a successful and sustainable life. With various opportunities for all ages, the library is a place where learning happens and curiosity is encouraged.

The Friends of Loachapoka Public Library, Inc. (FOLPL) was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to raise tax-exempt support for the library. The board of FOLPL is comprised of five members who help with fundraising and planning for the future of the library.
